Science

‘Be careful with your Science experiment, if you drop that, it could cause all sorts of problems.’ Miss Strats said.

Godrin held it in both hands, not letting go of anything inside. His creation only took seven days to make. Adding the nuclear fission his teacher’s idea. It was incredible to witness the universe form. Something weird happened, as creatures appeared from the water. Circular cells split into two, and within months they moved without his input.

New species evolved over time.

He liked the dinosaurs the best, they roared and stormed across the land until it fell off the table. A solid rock of fire hit his project. At first he thought it would destroy it. Out of the ice, a separate realm emerged.

Strange aliens walked on legs. They had a primitive intelligence, and a language all their own. There was a lot of in fighting, explosions, and disagreements over space. Sometimes he intervened because it would keep his project safe.

‘Yes Ma’am, I have lined it with magnesium and toughened glass. Do you believe I have a chance of winning it this year?

‘You could do? Although shouldnt you feel you should intervene with the pollution. Your humans don’t seem to be learning their lesson.’

‘I am, but Mum says I should let them do it for themselves, just as I did when I travelled to another planet on my own.’

‘Makes sense, well good luck.’

I am a fifty something mother of two grown up children, and one beautiful grandchild. I have been married for nearly thirty-four years. My first book was published ten years ago. I wrote my book Sticks and Stones because of my experience of being bullied at school.

  1. Oh I love this! It made me think of a Star Trek episode. What if we were just a kid’s science experiment?! And yeah, we’d better learn from our mistakes! Well done, Diana. Loved this tale. 😀
