Sharing Lies

1. Have you ever lied about your age? In the same way as many other bloggers of a similar birthdate, I told an untruth. I began drinking at the age of sixteen, and my ‘local’ was where I frequented once I reached eighteen. With no ID, you gained alcohol if you looked old enough.
2. Is there any time in your life you would like to relive? The moments where I was with my dad, sitting beside him, where he would talk about his experiences. Seventeen when he died there are too few memories. When we are young, we think they will be around forever. If there were a stairway to heaven, I would be the first to walk across.
3. Do you own any antiques? Not in the general viewpoint. There are some Subbuteo sets from the seventies in my possession. For you youngsters out there, that is a football game, where you can use a group of players, which wobble. It resembles tiddlywinks.

4. Would you like to know some of the history of places you’ve visited? I some idea of what happened before in the seaside towns I visited. I would love to fly to Italy, where my dad served during WW2. A paratrooper, he joined a squad that flew in by glider to secure a bridge during the D-Day landings.

Gratitude – I grew up knowing the value of money and that happiness is not about how much money is in your purse, but he love in your family.

I am a fifty something mother of two grown up children, and one beautiful grandchild. I have been married for nearly thirty-four years. My first book was published ten years ago. I wrote my book Sticks and Stones because of my experience of being bullied at school.
