Spending time with my granddaughter always gives me a lift.

No matter the stresses in life, when she laughs, I laugh.

The gift of being a grannie is definitely the most special job anybody can have.

Our role is to protect them and guide them on how to navigate a difficult world and how their behaviour within it affects it.

I have to confess, when my daughter introduced the naughty step, I had doubts, because I didn’t believe that her method would be effective.

My eldest child had the discussion about her daughter’s negative behaviour afterwards; she understood the purpose, and my heart swelled with pride.
