Film

Written for https://pcguyiv.wordpress.com/tag/truthful-tuesday/

My favourite book is Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, and the movie lived up to the prose. Some of them did not. The half blood prince included scenes that did not appear and removed some important ones. The Weasley’s house never got blown up, and the battle at Hogwarts would have been great to see.

The other books I read are the Kathy Reich novels about ‘‘Bones’’. I adore the show and the writer, but this time I watched the TV program before reading. Both are as great as each other.

For my novel, ‘‘It Won’t Happen Again’’, I would prefer either a film or a series. It would be nice to have the chance to see the images.

I am a fifty something mother of two grown up children, and one beautiful grandchild. I have been married for nearly thirty-four years. My first book was published ten years ago. I wrote my book Sticks and Stones because of my experience of being bullied at school.

  1. I have started to watch movies before reading the books. For some strange reason, I can enjoy them each for what they offer without any expectations. I did that with Fried Green Tomatoes, Mrs. Dalloway and The Color Purple, for example. We know the book will always give us more so we end up winning 🙂

Plus, it helps with the pronunciation of some names!!

    1. Plenty of the books I’ve read, I read because I saw the movie first. The ones that come to mind first are Jurassic Park, Gorky Park, The Hunt for the Red October, and Dune (the original movie, though I have seen the new ones with Timotée Chalamet as well) just to name a few.

      1. Gorky Park was such a good movie. I bet the book was fab, too. I really do love to read them after now. I choose to. Nice to see I’m not alone in that 😉
