Mobile phones are great for keeping in touch with our families. It helps us feel safer if we are out. We have a minicomputer in our hands, and share and gain information. However, are we relying too much on this device? The blue panel behind all the devices is not the best thing to look at before we go to sleep. The object deceives the brain into perceiving a lighter weight than its actuality, causing difficulty in establishing a more favourable routine.
I remember when television programs stopped at twelve o’clock.
The only way to get in contact with family and friends was via the telephone box at the end of the street. We had a landline, and if anyone rang after a specific hour, and would only ring after ten o’clock in the event of an emergency. Even now, if someone rings me later in the evening, I worry something is wrong.
Perhaps a better approach would be to limit our time and turn off our mobiles at specific times of the day.
We don’t require anything while we are sleeping.
Everything here goes on silent at 11:00pm. Thank you for sharing your thoughts with our Sleep challenge.

No worries, I’m glad it pinged back, not normally good at that sort of thing.

I put my phone on do not disturb at night, or when I am going to bed, only my mom and sister can get through to me, and they’d only ring in an emergency. X

That’s how it should be.

I think the worry of an emergency at times may also have us keeping that phone too close at night 😬

I went to a friend’s birthday supper last night. When another friend picked me up, I left quickly, leaving my phone on the charger. I felt naked all night!! At times liberated, but the reflex to look up stuff has become automatic.

It has, we are so used to them being in our hands.
