Shift Our Focus

Perspective, and a multitude of problems we stress about. Insufficient money, car needs fixing, the washing machine has broken down or a bad day at work. If we shift our focus and consider the entire globe, our pressures would be easier for them.

They are not free to make their own choices. Surviving in a country where human rights do not exist. Their girls cannot attend school, and are married at an early age of eleven or twelve. Boys are fighting an adults war.

Many young people lack the education to leave their poverty behind.

I am in possession of a roof over my head, and there’s no chance I’ll ever be concerned about losing it. My children are safe (28 and 33). My grandchildren can tap into an excellent network of learning. I am proud to watch them grow, with respect in their hearts.

As a mum, sister, auntie, wife, and friend, I promise to be there for my loved ones, as they are for me.

Even when it rains,

the sun reflects

a refreshing rainbow.
