These days, paper is rarely used.
I used to buy a newspaper every day, but I haven’t for a few years. When we go on holiday, my husband reads one; the sports page first, before skimming through the rest. I hardly ever watch the news.
Whatever you read, or listen to, it is their perspective on current events and their opinion on what is happening. For instance, each political party have a preferred tabloid. There are also algorithms on social media, so much of your information is based on what you believe.
Life is changing quickly, and at work this week we had AI training, which felt surreal. Artificial intelligence is more prevelant. Whether it is on the call centres, or when we get in contact with our service providers.
I always ask to speak to an advisor and you can tell when you do? Even on the computer, it is the way they answer the questions, understanding we are more than a few 0’s and 1’s. Chat bot, has become part of our lives.
Technology experiences a surge as it did when we were children.
The future? Nobody understands, but we cannot lose our humanity.
i agree and I really do fear the future, especially for our children and grandchildren 💜

I have the feeling there’s not a thing I can do to change things for the better. But keep reminding myself to vote in elections at all levels.
We just buy our small weekend paper. I don’t know what my husband reads. I head straight for the NewYorkTimes crossword puzzle, the NEA crossword, Sudoku, Celebrity Cipher, and The NEA Bridge Game. Keeps me away from the computer a bit.

Which is a good thing to unwind. I paint by numbers, or something creative away from the computer.

AI is taking over the world! In a few years there will be no more call centre operators, only AI!
