During those moments where you are sure you cannot cope feels overwhelming. Be kind to yourself and move forward is the best action. Sometimes that is easier said than done. Life doesn’t run smoothly, and when trying to navigate the obstacles, doing everything by yourself can be difficult.
Get help when needed and never be frightened to admit you are struggling.
Therapy isn’t something to be ashamed of. Talking to a stranger is often better than family or friends, because nothing you can say is foolish and sometimes you want to vent.
Mental health is more common than anyone realises.
Shame was attached even twenty years ago. If you were suffering, you couldn’t share your feelings.
The amount of support available is significant, and simply by listening and being present, we overcome our fears.
Past trauma only holds the power, if we don’t talk.
Very true Diana. Mental health is equally important as is physical health.

Truth! Too many people suffer in silence, it is ok not to be ok, and it is ok to get help. X

I found therapy was most helpful because of the ability to vent. My doc did say that if things were so bad (it was work stuff) I should find a different career, which I did not agree with, but he guided me thru a hard time. It got to be pretty expensive though after the sessions work paid for ran out. It was very hard to find job provided support, by the way, although I knew it existed-it was like they buried the phone number to make it harder to find. Part of the shame thing, I guess. Anyway, you should never be afraid to ask for help.

Exactly, talking helps, and we are lucky in the UK as therapy is free on the NHS.
