Hope

Written for https://mindlovemiserysmenagerie.wordpress.com/2024/08/20/photo-challenge-529/

Deep in our own thoughts,

Everything seems worthless

People attempting to help

Perhaps there is another way

Realise there is a light

Escaping from the dark

Scaling the walls of fear

In our lowest moment

Only way is to climb

No fear, just hope.

  1. Breathtaking. I think this poem has been my favorite of your poems so far. There is unique depths to it (literally and figuratively), but I also love that its format seems to create a ladder (so the one who is depressed has a way to climb out, if they choose to look for it).
