The Chicken Shop Scam, the reason for Sarah’s brother Joe’s suicide and a way to lure vulnerable teenagers into drugs, brings her to a lorry stop in the middle of the night. Her husband, Graham, insists he go with her.

Hours later, he is dead; their car forced off the road.

A detached retina, and the doctor warns that she might lose vision in one eye. The only clear picture is of Joe.

She is never alone.

Her editor-in-chief, Richard, reveals Bill Morrison is a thug, and a threat to her parents. If she wants to investigate, it has to be without the police. His friend, working at the local newspaper, could assist her in becoming an undercover food critic.

With nothing more than her informants intel, Teflon, and St Ives, she cannot be responsible for another life lost.

Friends, enemies, the lines are blurry.

It is up to her to find out the truth.
