Showers

Dipping her toes into the melted glass, the incomplete version of herself whispered a silent prayer. Each scar covering each secret she kept internally. Transparent orbs silently praying above the insignificant puddle sheltered her negative emotions.

There was nothing more special than the first rain of spring.

Carefully, her claws clicked, and she smoothed her auburn plumage. As she shifted feathers flapped wide. Leaping from bubble to bubble, popping them like corn in a saucepan, she spread her wings.

‘Good morning! What a lovely day,’ she said.
