Close your eyes, attempt at slumber,
but worried thoughts always ponder
where shadows cry.
Twist, and turn, each monster roars
every sensible thought withdraws.
when hate wins.
Yet
Turn on the light, fear no longer
and hopeful hearts can be fonder
where we share
confide in others, make them slight,
sleeping shadows have lost their might
when hope shines.
Indeed it’s so. Sharing our fears is like turning on the light, the light of hope. Beautifully expressed, Diana.

Diana, I feel the tension between fear and hope in your poem. The shift from darkness to light is so powerful. Beautifully done!
Much love,
David

Hope is a powerful thing to have. It is indeed a little thing with feathers. May we never lose it. Ever!
