Mum’s quiet advice, and Jessica felt she understood more than she let on.

‘It’s going to be a beautiful wedding; he wants only the best for me.’

‘You always wanted to get married in the local church.’

Jessica looked away.

‘Please, don’t let history repeat itself.’
