Red petal soft, a strong rose, outside your window

A wind that sings a prose, yet life is just a window.

Fragile, understanding that beauty is fleeting

each living thing dies, like a scene through this window.

Your fear not shown, you gaze out at your rose.

My face watches your reflection in the window.

My heart afraid, your life is on loan,

No, I’ll be strong, like your reflection in the window.

I am a fifty something mother of two grown up children, and one beautiful grandchild. I have been married for nearly thirty-four years. My first book was published ten years ago. I wrote my book Sticks and Stones because of my experience of being bullied at school.
