Sleep – Book Review

Sleep, by C.L Taylor is about Anna. Her life changed when she crashed her car, after her firms training, and three of her passengers died. The accident wasn’t her fault, but she blamed herself because she wasn’t thinking straight when the lorry ploughed into them.

With one of her colleagues paralysed, it affects her relationship with her boyfriend. She cannot sleep. Notes, left on her car, add to her fear.

Guilt is carried with her to a remote Scottish island of Rum, where she takes a job to escape her fear. Seven guests and one of them wanting her to end her life. When the owner of the hotel is found murdered, one is responsible for much more than even Anna realises.

A young couple with a teenage daughter Katie, Christine- retired nurse, Trevor, Fiona and Joe. Each with a backstory, which could link them to being Anna’s stalker. If you are interested in thrillers, this has so many twists, I was left guessing to who could want her to sleep.

A well written story, her characters were realistic, and I didn’t want any of them to be the killer.

I am a fifty something mother of two grown up children, and one beautiful grandchild. I have been married for nearly thirty-four years. My first book was published ten years ago. I wrote my book Sticks and Stones because of my experience of being bullied at school.
