I’m on a mission to retire one day

where I will have more of a say

about what I do each day

that will make me smile.

No alarm clock to wake me up

with my coffee, an extra cup

maybe I’ll buy another pup

and go for longer walks.

From sixteen, so many years

there is nothing more to fear

I will not shed a tear

I can relax . . .

An adventure is just around the corner.
