Parents hope for the power to protect children

from harm. Yet if a politician makes the wrong call,

using their words as a weapon? Our protection will fall

as a torrent of bombs and bullets bend

reality to their will.

Yet there is hope for the power to protect our children

from pain. If a politician makes the wrong call,

we can use our words of peace. One voice so tall

stopping the hate and then

hope will win.
