Fan whirring in the background, there is never a comfortable level of heat to sleep.

I’m not sure that heatwave has a different meaning a few years ago. I remember 1976, where there was a hosepipe ban from July, right through to the end of August. There was no break in the hot, dry weather. Now it is classed as a heatwave when we have more than three days of sun.
Saying that, the heat is more pressured. We are having forest fires in Yorkshire covering five kilometres. The UK never had a pleasant warmth, but this is over the top. I am suffering from more migraines, and dizzy spells during the day.
Climate change, for me, is real.
In addition, the seasons have gone all weird. Even in October, it is not uncommon for the temperatures to reach twenty degrees. The days are shorter, but not necessarily cooler.
Although, the fan does get a break during these months.
It is hot for UK.

Yes, we don’t do well in heat. We hope it to be hotter, and when it is, do nothing but complain lol. Saying that the best way to bring rain is to say we are going to have a barbecue. Although new homes are being built with air conditioning now.

I agree Diana it’s the same down here in the south we have Forrest and wild fires too. I agree about the heat being worse and it’s definitely climate change!!
As to the migraine and dizziness have you checked your blood pressure lately. I hope you don’t mind me asking 💜💜💜

I prefer Spring. It’s warmer, but more pleasant.
