Warming Share

Written for https://pensitivity101.wordpress.com/2025/09/01/share-your-world-1st-september/

1.  Is your home heated by radiators, underfloor heating or an open fire?

I have radiators in all of my rooms, and they only go on when a jumper doesn’t keep you warm. I don’t have them on during the night, as I find it difficult to sleep when it is too hot.
2. What is a comfortable temperature in the colder months for your home?

I would say about 20 degrees.
3. What is more appealing, a mug of hot coffee or tea, a bowl of warming soup, or stew and dumplings?

That is like asking who my favourite child is. A mug of hot coffee is a lovely way to end the evening, especially with a few biscuits. Stew and dumplings is a welcome home when I go trick and treating with my granddaughter. I grew up with this meal, and my mum made the most amazing dumplings. The smell of it cooking, and we were all hungry by the time we ate it.
4.  Would you prefer to share the dawning of a new day or a beautiful sunset?

Either is fine with me, it helps the day begin with a smile and end with a grin.

Gratitude: I never go hungry, and neither do my family. We all have a home to be safe in, and a warm bed at night. There are many living on the streets, and it shouldn’t happen in 2025.

I am a fifty something mother of two grown up children, and one beautiful grandchild. I have been married for nearly thirty-four years. My first book was published ten years ago. I wrote my book Sticks and Stones because of my experience of being bullied at school.

    1. I make mine with self raising flour and margarine, but Mum made hers with suet. Caffeine is my addiction too, although I can only have one cup a day because of my blood pressure.
