Her dad’s silver cross, clutched between fragile fingers, Masie soothed her thoughts to a normal pace. Would he have approved of her career change? Probably. He always understood.

He would advise her to ignore her doubts and allow her heart to heal.

A new job, hope, and a chance to live her life without fear.
