He shared a kiss of loving bliss
their marriage vows, said with pride
A honeymoon, they sleep till noon
in each others love they collide
He shared a kiss, of hopefulness
to be parents, they wish to be
A sleepless night, each bottle right
in each others arms they sleep.
He shared a kiss of gentleness
to say goodbye, his reason why
he loves her still.

I like the repetition of the image of the kiss and how you change the way it manifests. (K)

Diana, that “kiss of gentleness” at the end really hit me — such a soft, bittersweet turn. I felt it.
