Whatever the reason for AI, we should be careful not to rely on a computer system that could ultimately destroy humanity by taking away our intelligence; if we don’t make our own decisions, they could do it for us.

That’s exactly it. Use AI but before you do, use your brain and your own imagination and creativity!
Yes, AI does NOT have all the answers …I’ve tested a few brief reports for work to see if they could improve the writing and they actually changed the meaning. Of course being of a generation where grammar was drilled into us at a young age….[smiles]

We can’t speak to someone without wondering if it is AI, even in the news, it is hard to tell.
