She twisted her gold wedding ring off her finger. As it rested on her palm, she wondered when it had all changed. It hadn’t even been a year. What would her mum say? Urge her to put the romance back in her marriage or give up at the first terrible Tic Toc?

Her phone picked up; she dialled their favourite restaurant.

‘Can I book a table for two?’ she asked.
