Cosmic Rays, the name of his invention, was patent tested, and nobody could steal it this time. He remembered when he had created the cure for the common cold. Within hours, his idea seeped into the medical journals.

A way to have an injection, but destroying the pain. Similar to a radio signal, all it would take is patients undergoing a process called sponging. They stretched the imagination with a straightforward hypnotic trance. Once the patient observed the needle, their mind would wander into a new future.

They relaxed as soon as they saw the rays. The potential to save the NHS money and operate on people without an imbalance of drugs. In addition, they could use this method in a waiting room, with the aid of the appointment screen.

Perhaps they would give him a medal.

This is such an interesting post Diana, as I read that researchers in the UK are testing a molecule that can combat the common cold virus by preventing it from hijacking human cells.  The new molecule, developed by researchers at Imperial College London, targets N-myristoyltransferase (NMT), a protein in human cells.
