Lottery of Wins

Written for https://wordofthedaychallenge.wordpress.com/category/word-of-the-day/

As humans we all want better than we have, and dream of winning the lottery. Would that money change us? Probably, because we are leaving our old life behind. Sometimes, it is nice to save up for that dream holiday. It is different from our normal lives.

I work in a school, and there was a choice given to the students learning about Scrooge. Would you rather be poor and happy, or rich and unhappy. Personally I would love to be both. If having money spoiled the happiness I have, then I wouldn’t want to change what I have.

Do I do the lottery? Yes. Do I expect to win? No, there is a low chance I would win big – but it doesn’t stop me.

If I won millions, I would spend it on my family, rather than myself. I am of an age, where I have everything I need, but to relieve the pressure of my children, is something that would make me happy.

I am a fifty something mother of two grown up children, and one beautiful grandchild. I have been married for nearly thirty-four years. My first book was published ten years ago. I wrote my book Sticks and Stones because of my experience of being bullied at school.

  1. Your plans for any won money are admirable. I have no wish to win the lottery. I’ve seen the results of to much money that’s come to easily far to often. If it doesn’t ruin the first generation to will ruin the second and third.
