Comfortable Share

1.  Would you consider yourself easy going?

Mostly, I tend to keep my opinions to myself. However, if it is against my family and friends, I am in their defence.

2.  Are you comfortable talking to a group of strangers at a social gathering?

I prefer a group of strangers, because if I am nervous, I don’t have to speak all the time. When I talk to one person, I never know what to say. I have always been like that, and often wonder whether I am on the autistic spectrum. I don’t consider it being something negative, as it gives me answers about how I was as a child. Either I talk too much, or I keep quiet in social situations.

I have taken part in training, as part of my job as a teaching assistant. Girls are often misdiagnosed with other things because they copy other emotions, and attempt to fit in.

3.  What are three things about people that annoy you?

Rudeness, throwing rubbish on the floor, and talking behind your back.

4.  What do you do to cheer yourself up when you’re feeling down in the dumps?

I walk my dog, spending time away from the computer. When I spend time with my granddaughter she always makes me smile. The other day she showed me how foil doesn’t sink when you throw it because the air makes it light. Volunteering at my local entertainment centre. I have seen some amazing tribute acts, and singing along to songs from my childhood always make me grin.

I am a fifty something mother of two grown up children, and one beautiful grandchild. I have been married for nearly thirty-four years. My first book was published ten years ago. I wrote my book Sticks and Stones because of my experience of being bullied at school.
