Written for https://skepticskaddish.com/2026/03/04/w3-prompt-201-weave-written-weekly/ This is my version of an echo poem.
Our first lesson in love.
Love from tired parents.
Parents who can make mistakes.
Mistakes to be learnt from.
From many sleepless nights.
Nights of nappy changes and feeding.
Feeding to help our babies grow.
Growing from children to adults.
Adults who move forward with life.
Life, a grandchild with a lucky star.
Star of a mum, her best lesson in love.
No one makes no mistakes 💜💜

We do learn a whole new dimension of love as a parent – then as a grandparent – nice echo 💞

I like your version of an echo poem! Life has many lessons, but when a child comes into the equation, it makes it that much more worthwhile. Thank you for sharing and joining in.

Diana, this feels tender to me. For me, “Star of a mum, her best lesson in love” gathers the whole generational chain into one quiet realization. I really like how the repeating links carry the poem from baby to grandchild.

Being a grandmother, and seeing my daughter bring her up, is amazing.
