Holding precious bundles in my arms
counting ten perfect fingers and toes
I share how much love there is to give
and that you will always be protected.
Lines are layered into walls
another inch; years quickly flee
I smile beyond a veil of pride
for each wonderful milestone reached.
As children leave an empty bedroom
Our memories hold more than a picture
It shares a promise we made when you
only had eyes for me.
Beautiful

Oh, you got my emotions going, Diana. I’m reading these lines as a mother and they are so relatable!
