May you be a mother, watching your children thrive

protecting them with your love, best to be alive

May you be father, laughter part of the fun

sharing happy times with family, enjoying all the sun

May you be a grandparent, their safety important to you

The years are blurring by, their happiness nothing new

May you be a daughter, a son, living life solo

It doesn’t matter which, the difference is the key

Knowing that I am love, helps humans to see

life.
