Humid air strangles

nature struggles to find peace

warring fractions strike

We are in the middle of a heatwave in the UK. I am going to sleep with the fan on. It helps when I am closer to the cool air. We are terrible in this country – any severe weather and we are not ready for it. Give it until the weekend, and there will be a storm.

At least it will break the humidity.

We Brits are terrible at any extreme weather – a couple of days of buying fans, swimming pools and ice, and we wish it would be a more acceptable heat.

I am a fifty something mother of two grown up children, and one beautiful grandchild. I have been married for nearly thirty-four years. My first book was published ten years ago. I wrote my book Sticks and Stones because of my experience of being bullied at school.

  1. The weather has no favorites. Weather forecasting is good in the US. I get phone calls in the night about severe storms. Not that there is much to do about it but crawl under the covers. And hope it hits elsewhere. AND it does hit somewhere.
