Shadows

fall under the leaves

as I crave the silence

of reading. I turn the pages

and allow myself the pleasure

of going on an adventure. Sharing

in their life, but not thinking of my own.

It is important to find the courage to be free.

I am a fifty something mother of two grown up children, and one beautiful grandchild. I have been married for nearly thirty-four years. My first book was published ten years ago. I wrote my book Sticks and Stones because of my experience of being bullied at school.
