1. Which tastes better: black or green olives?

Neither, I don’t eat olives.

What’s your favourite room in your home?

It would have to be the bathroom, because it is the only space I can be in without anyone asking for anything. I love a good bubble bath, reading a book, and just relaxing.

3. What fictional family would you be a member of?

I would love to be part of the Ingalls family. There was a lot of love and as a dad Charles only looked out for his wife and children. They had a simple life, without any thought to how much money they had.

4. What did you appreciate or what made you smile this past week?

I appreciated having the spare time to write some of my novel this week. My work was read, at a writing group I attend, and it was advised to change the way my main character got to England. I now have a handwritten story of how she got from Italy to England. I wouldn’t use AI to write my story, but as a research tool it helped me get a sense of her journey.

I am grateful for writing and how it has helped me. I used to handwrite when I was younger, and there is a freeing feeling when using a pen because I don’t have to worry about mistakes, just writing the story.

I am a fifty something mother of two grown up children, and one beautiful grandchild. I have been married for nearly thirty-four years. My first book was published ten years ago. I wrote my book Sticks and Stones because of my experience of being bullied at school.

  1. Thanks for sharing your world Diana. Lovely answers. I can appreciate the bathroom as in days gone by I’d love a long bubbly soak with a good book and the radio, and ME time!!! I haven’t been able to get in and out of a bath for years, so we took it out and have a shower cubicle now. We both fancy one of those barrel baths though that you can walk in and sit in. Maybe…………………………
