I cannot remember names, and when I am at work, calling someone Miss or Sir helps when I forget. I would like to think it is my age, but I have never been good with names. Numbers are easier. I had a password, that was numbers and random letters, and I didn’t have any problems.
It is easier to recount things I have done in the past. My husband and I will often talk about past events without any trouble. We often repeat our work life, so do we remember the routine rather than actual memories? I’m not sure.
There have been times when I have been mid conversation, had another person talk to me, and completely lost what I was about to say. I have to ask my husband what I was just saying. As writers, we have a lot to recall, so perhaps it is partly to do with the way my mind works.
My mind goes blank halfway through a conversation too.

Thanks Di for sharing your experience. What you have just described happens to most of us. I often loose my thread of thoughts and ask the person Iām with- what was I just saying.
