Parachute

1.  If you were a child’s toy, what would you be?

I would be a kaleidoscope, where they can see all the beautiful rainbow of colours.

2.  If you had to design/dress a shop window, what would be your theme?

A Harry Potter themed shop window, with Nimbus 2000’s, wands and all the flavoured beans. I would make sure all the houses were there, not just Gryffindor. Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff, and Slytherin would all make the grade.

3.  Have you ever done a bungee or parachute jump?

I have done a virtual parachute jump in a wind tunnel. My children didn’t think it was ideal for me to do the actual jump because I trip walking up the stairs. I would love to be part of a tandem jump with an expert.

My dad was in the parachute regiment in England, and was one of the heroes that took Pegasus Bridge. They weren’t part of the D Day landings, but used a glider to fly to the bridge and protect it. I am extremely proud of him.

4.  Would you like to work in a zoo, circus, or veterinary practice?

I couldn’t work in a veterinary practice because I would find it hard when animals were in pain, and they needed to be put down. Not sure about a circus, but I would probably go on the giant swing.

I am grateful for being able to spend time with my family – I am lucky.

I am a fifty something mother of two grown up children, and one beautiful grandchild. I have been married for nearly thirty-four years. My first book was published ten years ago. I wrote my book Sticks and Stones because of my experience of being bullied at school.
