Seasons – Poem

I wrote this a few years ago for a writing group I belonged to.

Seasons

Spring buds pushing towards the light.

Flowers in full bloom, their brightness gleaming.

Golden leaves drifting in the wind.

Snow covered branches observing the skies.

Flowers in full bloom, their brightness gleaming.

Butterflies soaring through the air.

Snow covered branches observing the skies.

For a glimpse of sunlight through the clouds.

Butterflies soaring through the air.

Colourful petals scan the heavens.

For a glimpse of creation through the clouds.

So they can create a new world.

Geese fly south, to a warmer climate.

Golden leaves drifting in the wind.

A blanket of snow covers the branches.

Spring buds pushing towards the light.

I am a fifty something mother of two grown up children, and one beautiful grandchild. I have been married for nearly thirty-four years. My first book was published ten years ago. I wrote my book Sticks and Stones because of my experience of being bullied at school.
