Word prompt – diverse poets

A prompt to write a poem using stream in exactly 44 words.

My ideas stream from pen to page

Lazily, slowly, carefully; then full of power.

Until wiry words take centre stage.

Roaring, crashing, my words in a shower

of sentences. I stop. My pen retires

from the paper. I read

my stream of consciousness.

I am a fifty something mother of two grown up children, and one beautiful grandchild. I have been married for nearly thirty-four years. My first book was published ten years ago. I wrote my book Sticks and Stones because of my experience of being bullied at school.
