It didn’t look like an innocuous needle.
The dentist held it aloft like a talon. Thirty seconds of pain, was all that he asked of me. I closed my eyes, and dug my nails into the chair. Would it help if I sang I will survive? Probably not, but it was worth a try.
Minutes later, my gums were numb, and the broken tooth out.
It didn’t look like an innocuous needle, but it took away the pain.
Thirty seconds can seem like a life time at the dentist. 😦
Innocuous sounds to much like Novocain.

I was inspired by my visit to the dentist today. My mouth still feels like there are many marbles in there. I would take a pain killer, but I don’t think I could swallow water right now.
