Today is my wedding anniversary and I have been married for thirty-four years – apparently next year is Coral, so might have to go away for that. This year we’re going to have a meal out, at our favourite Italian restaurant, and then go and watch a movie.

I met my husband on a blind date, partly organised by my mum and Alan’s best friend. I wouldn’t say it was love at first sight, but we were engaged within three months.

We both knew it was meant to be. Corny, I know, but true.
