I have had three on line interviews this week and have heard about two of them. I didn’t get the jobs, but I have learnt a lot from them. I have made two power point presentations. At the beginning of this week I didn’t even know how to make them, so I’m proud of myself with that. Also, I’ve become less nervous as the interviews have gone on, so another learning curve there.
I was disappointed in not getting the job today, more so because I was excited by taking a new path. It was still doing the job I have been doing for sixteen years, but with adult learners instead. Both my husband and son are dyslexic, so I wanted to inspire other adult learners so they believe they can achieve.
Still, I won’t give up on my search. I prefer working and not having a job is annoying for me. Although being at home has given me time to write. I’m carrying on with my writing of my new manuscript – In the Dark.
Also, I saw my play the other day on a virtual reality 360 headset. I was amazed how I was immersed into my own writing. I’m definitely excited by that, not only because I will be paid for writing the play this time, but because other people will see it. It is weird having the headset on and twisting around to see a woodland around me and the scene inside my head performed by actors. There may be some rewrites, but I’m not worried about that.
After a week of interviews, writing power points, and a heart thudding out of my chest, I am going to take it easy. A mug of coffee, or three are in order. I would have cake, but I’ve got to try and be good for my slimming group. A picture is allowed though . . . Isn’t it?
