Word of the day Schism

I’ve been thinking about the noun schism, from The Word of the Day and it got me thinking about Beatie. She was in an advertisement in the eighties for British Telecom. Her grandson had failed most of his exams. The only two he had passed were pottery and Sociology.

She told him if he had got an ology he hadn’t failed. I wonder what she would have made of the noun schism. It sounds like something she would have said to her grandson and would have been in the sociology class.

I am a fifty something mother of two grown up children, and one beautiful grandchild. I have been married for nearly thirty-four years. My first book was published ten years ago. I wrote my book Sticks and Stones because of my experience of being bullied at school.
