In answer to – Why do you blog?

Why do I blog? I have only been blogging for a few months, and originally it was to promote my writing. My daughter helped me set up the layout and I have been writing on it ever since.

Now I blog because I am enjoying it – there is a sense of writing every day. Not only to I get to take part in some amazing word prompts, but I get to read some amazing writing. I’ve always loved different writer’s intake on a word or picture. Even this one has brought up so many viewpoints.

Nobody is right, or wrong, we are just writers.

I am a fifty something mother of two grown up children, and one beautiful grandchild. I have been married for nearly thirty-four years. My first book was published ten years ago. I wrote my book Sticks and Stones because of my experience of being bullied at school.

  1. I started blogging because I was actively working on a novel and everything I read said writers should have a website/blog. I kind of threw out some short practice works and then thought, I need to keep up with my reading better – so I started reviewing one book per week. Just on books I had but hadn’t read or ones I got from the library. About 6 months in, I discovered the NetGalley world and things just took off in unexpected directions. I blog now because it keeps me busy doing things I love – writing, reading, chatting about books, promoting books and authors, recommending books, and being able to do it all at my discretion (so stress stays very low).
