For Fandango Word Challenge – Bethany Pirate in Training

FOWC

A combination of nerves and excitement and I couldn’t sleep. To try for a moment of peace before my journey, I left my bedroom and walked to the edge of the forest. I couldn’t go any further. If I did I would be taken into the void.

The only way I could deal with this was to be close to the sea, but I couldn’t, not until tomorrow. Not until I drank the potion would it be okay to leave the protection of the bubble.

‘You okay?’ Harry said, standing beside me.

‘What’s he like?’ I ask.

‘Dad, he was okay, but it was a pirate’s life sis. We didn’t go about doing good deeds. I grew up learning how to steal, where you grew up learning how to make spells.’

‘I get that you were pirates, but I can’t imagine the man I left doing all that.’

‘He did, and so much more. Don’t get me wrong, there was more to him, but we did some terrible things.’

‘Maybe I can change that, but you are so much more than a pirate Harry,’ I say, giving him a hug.
