If I were in a comedy duo, I would be the straight man, and my son would be the funny one. He says funny things without even trying. I think it is partly to do with his autism – he has a sort of dry humour and is naturally gifted in that way. I tend to be the one who takes things far too seriously.

I’m forever rushing from one moment to the next, stopping only to drink coffee and eat cake. (Not good when you are on a diet) This week has been busier than most. Between work, my daughter, my son, my husband, there aren’t enough hours in the day.

I could do with a rewind, so I can capture a few more hours to write.

Even though I have been busy, I wouldn’t change my life for anyone. I love my family, and there is always the weekend to rest. Apart from I’ve got to do a baby market with my daughter on Sunday.

Let the busy time begin.
