Music
From Jazz, rock and roll, easy listening and many more – music is the beat that makes the world go round.
I was born in the sixties, but the types of music I like do not match with my era. Being the youngest child I listened to songs from my brother and sister’s era. Consequently I have a mixed selection of songs.
I played my vinyl on an old record player given to me by my uncle. He also gave me some of his own records. There were a mixed selection from Abba, The Carpenters, punk and jazz (Mac the knife by Bobby Darin).
I like songs from the sixties, The Beatles, Elvis Presley, The Rolling Stones, The Four Seasons, but I also like fifties music (Connie Francis, Tommy Steele, Gene Kelly) I am a big fan of musicals; even though I cannot sing. Even now I will watch the repeats of Singing in the Rain.
There are songs from this this century I like too. For me it isn’t about the type of song, but the words within it.
