Cars, wander below, from street to street – It is as though I am sitting at the edge, but it is only make believe. I am wearing a VR360 headset and really standing in an office trying out the latest technology in gaming.
When I saw the advertisement in the paper for gamers, I didn’t realise I would be the first to try this. Along with my fellow applicants, we have to wear the headset for five minutes without passing out.
It does feel quite high here, and the longer I am immersed, the higher this ledge becomes. I grip on to the edge, and at one point, move backwards along the floor. It is amazing how the mind can be tricked into believing the impossible.
‘So, do you want the job?’
‘Yea, when do I start.
