Matching

https://wordofthedaychallenge.wordpress.com/

This word prompt got me thinking about socks and the way we always lose one of the pair. My daughter has given up on matching socks, and wears odd ones all the time. Where do all those lost socks go to – is there a lost and found for matching socks. Or does it really matter?

Odd socks do not match.

Does that really matter?

Friends of a different style

can have a jolly good natter.

All shades, all colours, same smiles.

Round and round in

the bubbles we flow.

Where will we end?

We do not know, but we

will find friendship,

wherever we go.

I am a fifty something mother of two grown up children, and one beautiful grandchild. I have been married for nearly thirty-four years. My first book was published ten years ago. I wrote my book Sticks and Stones because of my experience of being bullied at school.
