# 74 Groovy
One by one groovy guests walk through the door, and I am so pleased my fog lights are working. I was worried they wouldn’t work. I spend all afternoon twisting the bulbs until I found where the problem was.
I shouldn’t have been worried, all my neighbours drift, stomp and hop through my door. Soon my little kitchen is a hub of noise. Charlie is stirring the cooking pot, and the aroma is amazing.
My house might be much, with with all my friends inside it was a home. My new costume – black, shimmering, and with flecks of star dust through the lining. Charlie looks brilliant as usual. She always did let her magic shine through.
Her half werewolf, half ghost costume is inspirational.
‘Great party Wendy!’ Rory Raises his metal goblet to the roof. ‘I love all the frog decorations. They’re groovy man.’
‘Thanks for your help the other night. Help yourself to Zombie pie, I think it is Charlie’s greatest creation.’
The Monster Mash plays on our old record player, and he sidesteps towards the table filled with our monstrous display. Along with our Zombie pie, there is ice crispy cakes, and monster cookies, with chocolate for eyes.
A fissure of happiness turns into a whole smile. Our party is like a ghost wailing in an abandoned castle, and think about Charlie’s gift. Her new broom is waiting upstairs and I would love to see her toothy grin when she receives it.
Good job on all of those prompts!!
