Spring forward, fall back is something I remember from my childhood. A way make sure the clocks are going the right way for the time of year.
I think the reason they went back or forward was to do with daylight saving time. A way to have more hours for farmers during the second world war. I’m not sure if that is true, but that is what I was told as a child.
I hate when there are less daylight hours in the evening, and in this time, don’t think it has any reason to be there. When it gets dark at four o’clock it seems to early to be dark. It makes the cold weather feel even colder, and the evenings longer.
If it were me I would leave them the way they are, so that it isn’t as dark in the winter. Adding the extra hours always feels weird. So, in my opinion, the clocks shouldn’t go back.
Leave things as they are and see what happens.
I agree with you Diana! It might have made sense at that time but now it doesn’t anymore. Thanks for sharing your thoughts
