The reason behind my blog name stems from my obsession with Harry Potter. Well, not an obsession, but something my daughter and I share. When she was about eleven the first Harry Potter book came out.
She wasn’t remotely interested in reading, but this story intrigued her. I read The Philosopher’s Stone to her as a bedtime story. We were both hooked and as the books progressed she grew up.
I remember going to the book store at midnight to get the Half Blood Prince. We both read the book in one night. Both shocked at Dumbledore’s demise. When the sorting first aired on Facebook we took the test. My daughter a Hufflepuff. My son is also a Hufflepuff. I was sorted into Ravenclaw.
It was the only name that fit when I first went on to Twitter, and now on my blog.
