For Sunday Poser

I don’t give much thought to my appearance, but I do care what other people think of me. I shouldn’t, I know that, but it is something I cannot help. Appearance shouldn’t matter, and I don’t rate that in others, and I don’t know why it should for me.

I wore make-up when I was younger, but only when I went out. It was almost like I put on a face, and smiled. I don’t wear make-up now though, but if I am going somewhere special then I do.

I want to look nice, doesn’t everybody, but as you get older appearance isn’t so important – not for me anyway. It is more important what we do in our lives than what we look like.

I am a fifty something mother of two grown up children, and one beautiful grandchild. I have been married for nearly thirty-four years. My first book was published ten years ago. I wrote my book Sticks and Stones because of my experience of being bullied at school.
